Holiday Coffee Drinks

Holidays are a great time to curl up at home with family and the people you love. It is a season of sweet treats and warm beverages. There are not many beverages that can replace coffee. So, what’s better than coffee? A blast of mind-blowing flavors to the regular old coffee which will turn it into perfect holiday bliss. Here are some recipes for you to try out this holiday season.

Holiday Coffee Drinks

Coffee Nudge
This is every liquor lover’s dream holiday drink. You will be needing an ounce each of any coffee flavored liquor and brandy. Follow it up with half an ounce of crème de cacao and fill up the remaining glass with 8 ounces of freshly brewed black coffee. Add sugar as per your personal taste and stir it well. Now it’s time to make it decadent. Garnish it with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. There is also an option of adding a little scoop of vanilla ice cream to the concoction. Coffee Nudge can be a little intense on alcohol content than other coffee preparations. But, there is no denying that this is one tasty cup of coffee.

Peppermint Mocha
Peppermint Mocha can get you in the holiday mood in just one sip. Start with 4 teaspoons of chocolate syrup, and add around a teaspoon and a half of peppermint syrup to it. This mix now needs a cup of coffee and steamed milk. Frankly, this alone is enough to sizzle your taste buds. But, then again, it is the time of holidays and we have to make it more special. So, top it off with whipped cream and then put chocolate shavings as garnish. In addition to giving it a mind-blowing taste, the peppermint makes this drink absolutely super refreshing.

Gingerbread Cookie Latte
Gingerbread is synonymous with the holidays. It smells of celebration as does this coffee recipe. All you need is an ounce of coffee, half an ounce of vanilla syrup, and of course, gingerbread flavored syrup, about ¾ ounces. Stir them well and fill the glass with steamed milk. You can garnish it with gingerbread crumbs, whipped cream, cookie crumble or all of them. After all, it’s the holidays! Yes, that is a valid excuse.

Holiday Spice Coffee
Enough with the decadence, let’s brew a cup of zesty coffee that will wake you up, albeit holiday style! For this you will need ground coffee, pumpkin spice and orange zest. This recipe too uses a coffee maker. Put the coffee and spice in the filter and add around 6 cups of water. Also put the orange zest in the carafe, so that the flavors can infuse as the coffee drips in it. Serve hot!
