Coffee at the Minnesota State Fair

Everyone knows the best part of the Great Minnesota Get Together is the food! With so many amazingly unique options, it’s hard to know where to start. Whether you decide on a Deep Fried Dilly Dog or a Grilled Sota Sandwich, make sure you wash it down with one of these tasty treats. Put these spots on your list of stops for a delicious coffee at the Minnesota State Fair! 

Farmers Union Coffee Shop

Farmers Union Coffee Shop opens at 6 AM, making it a perfect place to start your culinary journey through the fair. The Minnesota Farmers Union has been a fixture at the fair since 1950, educating people about Minnesota’s family farmers. In 2003, it became a coffee shop, and last year the space received a face lift to further their educational mission. Stop by for hot coffee, nitro cold press, frappes and more. While you’re there, check out the new treats for this year: Blueberry Key Lime Pie and Heirloom Tomato and Sweet Corn. 

The Anchor Coffee House

Wake up your tastebuds at The Anchor Coffee House! This creative coffee house is serving up cold brew coffee, cold brew nitro, hot lattes, iced lattes. They have two new offerings this year: Cold Brew Lavender Shandy and the Mini Donut Latte! It’s hard to imagine a better way to begin your day at the Minnesota State Fair than with a “traditional latte with house-made mini donut flavoring, whole milk and espresso topped with a dusting of cinnamon and sugar.” YUM! 

Brim

For a mid-morning or afternoon pick-me-up, try the new Joey Mary: “an iced coffee slushie topped with a skewer of gluten-free baked goods, including a chocolate bite, honey toffee crunch and almond cookie.” Brim also offers a regular coffee slushie, brewed coffee, as well as blueberry and hibiscus lemonade. 

Java Jive

Java Jive has something for everyone: lattes, chai tea, hot chocolate, green tea, iced tea lattes, espresso, cappuccino…. And if you’re looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth, Java Jive delivers. Where else can you get a Coffee Ice Cream Float or a Chocolate Espresso Malt?
