Healthy Iced Tea Recipes

When the sun is out and temperatures are rising, we often find ourselves reaching for a cool glass of iced tea. We may not be able to do all of our favorite summer activities this year, but we can still enjoy all of our favorite drinks at home with family and close friends.

Store bought iced tea often has loads of sugar and unnecessary preservatives that take away from the many extraordinary health benefits of tea. Whether you’re hosting a BBQ, a quiet get together, or movie night with the kids, here are three healthy iced tea recipes everyone is sure to love.

Iced Peach Ginger Tea

If you have leftover peaches or just crave a sweeter iced tea, this is a great option. Because sugar isn’t used in these healthier teas, they can take some getting used to. If you like your drinks extra sweet, add honey! Want more tea like this? Check out these recipes by A Sweet Pea Chef.

Ingredients:

1 peach sliced and pitted

2 green tea bags

3 cups of hot water

4 ginger coins

Honey optional

Directions: Add your green tea bags and peach slices to the bottom of a pitcher or mason jar. Next, add the ginger coins (you can skewer these on a toothpick to make it easier to remove them later). Pour the hot water into the pitcher or jar and let steep for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let your tea chill in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours and enjoy.

Iced Strawberry Tea

If you have kids, this is sure to be a winner! Strawberries, lemon, and a bit of sugar make this a great drink to enjoy anytime you need to cool off with a refreshing drink. Love this iced tea? Take a look at more recipes by cdkitchen.

1 pint fresh strawberries
